Ernest Littlefield
Doctor Ernest Littlefield was a young Protégé of Professor C. P. Langford, and was engaged to Langford's daughter, Catherine. In 1945, Doctor Littlefield was part of President Roosevelt's program to investigate the stargate, believing that it might be some sort of super-weapon. While investigating the stargate, it was activated. They drew the conclusion was that the device was a transportation device of some kind. Ernest volunteered to risk his life and enter the stargate. The stargate was activated, connecting with PB2-908 (a world later dubbed Heliopolis by Littlefield), and Littlefield was transported to that world. Unfortunately, the DHD at that planet was damaged, and Littlefield was trapped there. While there, Littlefield discovered a device which he believed contained the secrets of the universe, written in some sort of universal language. After 51 years in exile, Ernest Littlefield was rescued by SG-1 and his lost love, Catherine.

Keene Curtis portrayed the present day Ernest Littlefield, and Paul McGillion portrayed the Ernest Littlefield of 1945.
