Josh Holloway was born in Northern California but moved at an early age of two to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia, where he was raised the second eldest of four boys.
From an early age Holloway discovered a passion for films. Intrigued by the diferent cultures, places and people he saw in different films, he developed a love for motion pictures. After one year at the University of Georgia, he left Georgia on a Greyhound bus to New York City. Holloway later pursued a modeling career which took him all over Europe and North America.
Holloway's pursuit of acting took him to Los Angeles where he soon landed a role in a comedy 'Moving August' opposite Eddie McClintock and Sarah Wynter.
He followed that up with lead roles in several independent films 'Mi Amigo', 'Dr Benny', and 'Cold Heart', where Josh starred opposite Nastassja Kinski. Holloway then gained considerable notice for his lead role in Sci-Fi channel's highly rated film 'Sabretooth', with David Keith and John Rhys-Davies. Holloway's recent credits include guest star appearences on hit shows 'CSI' and 'Navy NCIS'. Audiences will soon see Holloway as he stars in the new ABC drama 'Lost', from 'Alias' creator JJ Abrams, premiering Fall 2004.
An outdoorsman at heart, his hobbies include boating, sailing, snowboarding, martial arts, motor cross, and playing guitar.
Josh currently divides his time between Los Angeles and Hawaii where ABC's 'Lost' is being filmed.
