Goof --When Sookie is talking to Sam and Arlene about the three rednecks going to kill the vampires, the amount of beer in the two mugs on the counter changes back and forth between shots.

  • After Sookie discovers that the rednecks are plotting to kill the vampires, as she attempts to get Sam to intervene, Sam places two mugs of beer on the counter. The mugs keep alternating between being full and half full between shots.
  • When Jason and Amy are snorting V mixed with aspirin, the amount and position of the powdery V on the tray keeps changing between shots, without any of them touching it.

Trivia--When Amy tells Jason "Nothing is real - everything is permitted.", she quotes Friedrich Nietzsche ('Thus Spoke Zarathustra'). A different translation of the same quote ("Nothing is true, everything is permitted.") is used as the eponymous creed in the video game franchise 'Assassin's Creed'.

In the near future, thanks to the Japanese invention of synthetic blood, vampires have "come out of the coffin" and are trying to peacefully co-exist with humanity. When a vampire moves into the small Louisiana town of Bon Temps, the tolerance of the locals is put to the test. Local waitress Sookie Stackhouse, unusual in her own right because she can read minds, finds herself drawn to the stranger whose mind is hidden from her.
