While taking care of dazed Eric, Sookie will again find herself in the middle of the big but romantic trouble. Under direct orders from Nan, Bill has to fix the necromancy crisis. Pam suffers consequences after her encounter with witches.

Sam becomes Tommy's accomplice by helping him to cover up his crime. Arlene and Terry will turn to religion for answers. Jesus and Lafayette decide to go to Mexico in search of advice and great shaman's power. Jason is finally home, but that won't be easy for him.

In the near future, thanks to the Japanese invention of synthetic blood, vampires have "come out of the coffin" and are trying to peacefully co-exist with humanity.
