A pair of vicious thugs kidnap a 13-year-old boy when they learn he has special powers. The boy is able to send cryptic cries for help to Prue, who enlists the help of Phoebe to find the boy before he is used in a bank robbery.

Meanwhile, Piper is happily surprised when her beau Leo reappears only to leave again. When Phoebe catches Leo doing some of his own magic, his secret is revealed. Leo is a guardian for witches, who returned to help the young boy. Although he loves Piper, he cannot live among witches or mortals. Even though Phoebe spills the beans about Leo's secret identity and reason for leaving, Piper disregards Phoebe's confession as a sisters sympathy and believes Leo left because he just wanted to leave.

Telekinesis: Used by Prue to clean the manor's attic, push Mickey and David into a rack of tires, open Max's jacket, shove the bank guards out of a range of gunfire, pull the guns out of Mickey and David's hands before pushing them into the bank vault, closing the vault door and spinning the panel.

Molecular Immobilization: Used by Piper to freeze Harry in the Quake's kitchen and freeze Leo mid-conversation.

Psychokinesis: Used by Max to contact Prue via manipulating an ouija board, unlock the security lock at a micro-chip plant, disable the lasers at the bank, unlock the bank vault and disable the explosives strapped to his body.

Trivia:

  • Max is the first male witch to appear in the show.
  • Leo's method of orbing in this episode differs from his regular orbing, instead of orbing in a column of orbs, he orbed in one orb.
  • In this episode Prue demonstrates that she can move multiple objects at the same time.
  • When Leo crashes to the ground after hovering, you can tell the floor under the rug has springs; allowing the stuntman to have a more cushioned fall.
  • After Phoebe panickedly blurts out Leo's secret, Prue said that with an imagination like that, she should write children's books. Incidentally, Phoebe did go on to become a published and acclaimed author.

Goofs: Leo tells Phoebe that they were never supposed to find out he was a whitelighter, yet in all future episodes it is established that witches know their whitelighters.

  • When Leo uses his power to refill Phoebe's glass at Quake, the ice in the glass does not float to the top. The entire time they are sitting there, the ice never floats to the top. Even after she lifts the glass and drinks from it. It's likely that the "ice" is fake and is hiding something used for the trick.
  • Further evidence of the "trick" used in the water glass/ice-cube debacle at Quake with Leo and Phoebe: the water swirls and jets up from the bottom of the glass, creating the only movement of an 'ice-cube', when the water pressure from below is too strong and one of the glass 'cubes' is forced off the pile.
