June 17,1967--Alerted to a planet size object transmitting a message to Earth, Bach orders Dr Carl Sagan to decode it while he keeps the news from Majestics directors. And though he's kept in the dark, Albano agrees to ask the captured Gray to shed some light on its contents.

Meanwhile, Loengard and Juliet use Dr Timothy Leary to find the San Francisco lab where the Hive has been producing a hallucinogen under the direction of Steele and Kim. And when Kim tosses the drug into Johns face, it causes him to see their son aboard a Hive ship.

Trivia: The show's creators had originally hoped to create five seasons, as indicated by the show's "Bible" or major planning document. According to Zabel and Friedman's original plan,

first season (given the overall title "Official Denial") would cover the period from 1961 to 1969

second season ("Progenitor") 1970 to 1976

third season ("Cloak of Fear") 1977 to 1986

fourth season ("New World Order") would cover 1987 to 1999

fifth and final season ("Stroke of Midnight") would break from the decade-spanning format to encompass the apocalyptic final conflict against the invaders, taking place from 2000 to 2001.

"My name is Jon Lowengard. I am recording this because we may not live through the night. They're here. They're hostile. And powerful people don't want you to know. History as we know it, is a lie!"
