Lightning triggers a massive blackout. As Gary frantically juggles running McGinty's bar and averting disaster, he gets some unexpected assistance from Marissa. Also helping out is an amiable, slightly eccentric new bartender named Patrick.

Meanwhile, a convenience-store owner finds his differences with his neighbors escalating to a potential riot during the blackout.
