Everyone is sick of Fry living at Planet Express, so he is forced to move out to become Bender's roommate. The only catch is that Bender's apartment is too small for the two of them.

Meanwhile, after some searching they find a great apartment. A problem arises when Bender's antenna interferes with the TV reception. Bender decides to cut off his antenna so that he can live with Fry again.

However he doesn't feel right without it, so he decides to leave and go back to his old apartment where he feels lonely. Leela convinces Fry to going back to the "small" apartment.

music--"Theme from Futurama" by Christopher Tyng

opening cartoon--Porky Pig in "Baby Bottleneck"

opening subtitle--As Seen On TV

  • In the shower, Fry sings part of the Looney Tunes theme music (indeed, the opening sequence contained a clip from Baby Bottleneck).
  • Fry hitting the TV and going "Aaaay" when it turns on is a reference to Fonzie from Happy Days, who used to do the same thing with a jukebox (and making the same two-thumbs-up gesture).
  • Bender and Fry's "Moving In" montage is a reference to "The Odd Couple."
  • Bender bending the clock and putting it on the edge of the table is a reference to Salvador Dalí's painting, The Persistence of Memory.

Goofs (14)--When the crew are leaving Fry's new apartment, Amy slips on the banana skin again and falls over, and for some reason Fry tries to shut the door without her leaving. Maybe it was easier than drawing her getting up, but still worth a look.

  • When Fry and Bender are furnishing their new apartment, Bender drops his cigar on the floor. It's still lit, but no smoke is coming from it even after Fry takes a puff.
  • When the landlady is trying to find the source of the interference, there is a pile of Bender's beer cans lying next to a pizza box, but when the team were watching TV beforehand, no cans were visible.
