A recent Princeton graduate ends up in internal shock while attending a frat party. With his father by his side, it's clear that Carnell is not being too truthful about his life. House soon thinks that his symptoms could be caused by a recent Spring Break trip the young man took.

Meanwhile, House is actually having his own issues with his father and keeps trying to get out of a dinner engagement with both his parents who have just arrived for a visit.

The Mis-diagnoses:

  • They test for NF2 (an inherited disease), then they diagnose transverse myelitis and need to find a cause for that. They come up with pesticides as the cause. Foreman complains, "You have no evidence to support a poisoning diagnosis.

Final Diagnosis--Radiation induced cavernous angioma and radiation sickness

  • Radiation poisoning from an object his father had given him from his junk yard. And he has a cavernous angioma within his spinal cord, which is what has been causing the shocks. And because of all this, his ability to fight off infections is gone and that seems likely to kill him.
