Trivia--Most historians agree that if Pompey had held back and let Caesar's army starve, Imperial Rome would never have appeared.
- According to history, when Caesar captured Pompey's camp he found that it was already decorated for a party to celebrate Caesar's defeat.
Goof--When Pompey is explaining the battle of Pharsalus to Lucius Vorenus he says that his cavalry was repulsed by a single cohort of Caesar's reserve infantry. According to history, Caesar's reserves in that battle totaled nine cohorts.
