Deceased: Sean Gismonte: shot in the head in self-defense by Christopher Moltisanti.

Title reference: The episode's title is a play on the 1987 film Full Metal Jacket, whose title refers to metal-jacketed bullets. Here it alludes to the leather jacket that Richie gave to Tony. After Christopher is shot, the camera pans the sidewalk showing the metal cartridge casings that have been expelled from the weapons.

Goof: When Christopher M. is shot and on the ground, the camera pans up to show the spent shells lying there and on his body. All the shells are crimped on the end, which indicates they are blanks.

Trivia: The Soprano residence address (visible on Meadow's Berkeley acceptance letter): 633 Stag Trail Road, North Caldwell, NJ 07006.

  • When Sean Gismonte gets tangled up in his own seat belt and can't exit his car quickly, it seems to be a direct fulfillment of Livia Soprano's twisted warning to grandson A.J. just one episode before of just how deadly those damn belts can be.
