Goof-- In the introduction, Spock requests a leave of absence on Vulcan, with a loss of only 2.8 light-days. In this context, he is using light-days as a measurement of time. It is, however, a unit of distance - 25,920,000,000 kilometers.
Trivia--Vulcans were named for Gene Roddenberry's concept for their planet (in the constellation Eridanni) being a "volcanic", desert world.
Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.
