Stardate:3823.7 / 4428.9 --The Enterprise is on a mission to convince the Halkan Council to allow the Federation to mine dilithium crystals on their planet. Kirk, Scotty, McCoy, and Uhura beam down to the planet, but while doing so, an ion storm causes them to rematerialize in a parallel universe. There officers advance through assassination and the Empire plunders and pillages every planet they can find and destroys anyone that gets in its way.

Goof--Look at the scene where Dr. McCoy uses a hypo to gain entrance to Engineering for Scotty and himself. When the door first opens, the shoulder of the set crew can be seen briefly behind the actors.
Trivia--In the original story outline, Captain Kirk was trapped in the Mirror Universe alone, and it was gradually rejecting him, treating him like he was an invading germ by poisoning his systems. Both ideas were dropped.
