Stardate: 3211.7 --Kirk, Uhura, and Chekov are kidnapped away from the transporter pad as they prepare to beam down to Gamma 2, an uninhabitable plant with an automated station.The party appears on a completely different planet and are taken prisoner. Spock must find out what happened and try to find where the landing party has gone.

Trivia--In one of the final scenes when Captain Kirk is brought down 1000 meters below the surface of Triskelion to meet the gamesters, the backdrop for the scene is a reused matte painting previously utilized in "Star Trek" (1966) {The Devil in the Dark (#1.25).
