When Jack Brant, a prime witness against Rekall is kidnapped on the way to a Mars safehouse, the CPB is on the hook. But every step Hume takes in dealing with the kidnappers' ransom demands is hampered by his pain over Olivia's lost memory of their life together.

Mindful of Hume's situation, head of Rekall security Vincent Nagle approaches him with an offer to help Olivia in exchange for Brant. With the case in his hands, Hume may have to betray Farve and the CPB in order to save his wife.
