original airdate--December 5,2005 rating--4.09 million
music:Theme song--"Taking Chances" by Celine Dion
Milestones: The title of the episode -- "The Ocean Walker" -- becomes the title of a movie Maeby is developing, which (of course) gets referenced again before the season ends.
Huge mistakes: When Michael realizes the truth about Rita after seeing George Michael's video tape of her trying to eat plastic fruit, he says "I've made a huge mistake."
Most sexual tension: Michael spends most of the episode trying to consummate his relationship with Rita, who doesn't quite catch on to what he means by a "sleepover."
Allusions to Tobias being gay: Tobias says British people call tourists "poofters" and tells Michael he's trying to record the "nuptials" when he has a camera pointed at Michael's crotch.
Best narrator commentary: "That's when Michael finally accepted that Rita wasn't coming. And that local calls were $2.99 a minute. That's where they get you."
Goofs--Cameraman - At the 07:26 mark when Michael goes to sit down with Rita, a cameraman can briefly be seen on the left of the screen (this is in Widescreen format only).
Trivia--Buster moves his arms robotically while singing along to Styx's "Mr. Roboto". Tony Hale, who plays Buster, previously did the same thing in a Volkswagen commercial in the USA.
