Although this was a good episode, in keeping with the entire season, I felt that it didn't really answer the question as to who Buffy really loves! However, this episode did cover the fact that Buffy does actually love both Angel and Spike, although this isn't really new information to those that have been dedicated follows of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and earlier seasons of Angel. It was also disappointing that Sarah Michelle Gellar was unavailable to appear in this episode, as I feel this would have brought more closure to the love triangle that is Angle-Buffy-Spike. Additionally it was good to see that the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series finally did have a strong tie in with this episode, remember Buffy’s analogy of herself as 'cookie dough', well so does Angel!!! A visit from the Burkles was well timed and the fact that Illyria pulled off a fantastic Fred made it seem even harder to believe that she is really gone for good, however Wes was on hand to remind Illyria that she has no right to imitate the form of the former occupant of the ‘shell’ that she currently inhabits. Nevertheless this was still a good episode that lends itself well to the format that this entire season has taken to date.
I actually thought that this was a pretty good episode. The bits with Spike and Angel were absolutely a laugh riot and the parts with Wes, Illiria and Fred's parents were very intriguing. Can't wait for the final two episode!!!
