In the seventh millennium of man, a one-thousand year war was about to end. There was hope of peace with a cybernetic race known as the Cylons. A man, known as Lord Baltar, was one that could have been responsible for peace between these Cylons and Mankind.
Baltar, as well as the Cylons that promised him power over humanity, played Man for a fool. A holocaust was conducted - the robotic Cylons wiping a majority of Humanity off the faces of the 12 Colonies. The battlestars and the Colonial army of warriors were all but exterminated.
Commander Adama, with the last surviving battlestar, Galactica, assembled a fleet of survivors from the massive holocaust. Their goal: to find a planet read about and believed to be nothing more than baseless mythology, settled by a mythical Thirteenth Tribe long ago as Kobol broke apart. That planet... is Earth. While they try to find Earth, if it at all exists, they must also avoid the clutches of Lord Baltar and the Cylons that have been dispatched after the elusive "rebel" fleet. Yet they must go as fast as the slowest ship in the fleet and stay together, for if they don't, the last members of the 12 Colonies might very well be forever destroyed...
