Star Trek: The Next Generation tells the adventures of the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise 1701-D, the latest vessel in a long line of ships to bear the name of the Federation flagship. Under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, the Enterprise's mission is to seek out new life and new civilisations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.
